Access to Medical Imaging Coalition

The Access to Medical Imaging Coalition was organized in early 2006, soon after Congress passed the Deficit Reduction Act of 2005, which significantly reduced the level of funding for medical imaging services provided in independent imaging facilities and physician offices. The coalition conducts public affairs, advocacy, and educational activities on behalf of legislation to address these payment reductions.

ACT-AD Coalition

ACT-AD is a broad-based coalition of more than 30 national organizations seeking to accelerate the development of a cure and treatments for Alzheimer’s disease. The coalition is dedicated to increasing public and government recognition of Alzheimer’s as a life-threatening disease that requires urgent attention. The coalition was launched at a press conference at the National Press Club in April 2006, and is chaired by Daniel Perry, executive director of the Alliance for Aging Research. The coalition is growing and gaining momentum and provides information, updates, and engagement opportunities through its web site, www.act-ad.org.

CIBR members will advocate for research that can bring the technology of tomorrow to the health care needs of today.

The Coalition for the Advancement of Medical Research (CAMR) is the nation's leading bipartisan pro-cures coalition. CAMR is comprised of over 100 nationally recognized patient organizations, universities, scientific societies, and foundations advocating for the advancement of breakthrough research and technologies in regenerative medicine. CAMR’s advocacy and education outreach focuses on stem cell research, somatic cell nuclear transfer, and related research fields in which the mission is to develop treatments and cures for individuals with life-threatening illnesses and disorders.
