So you just got the news from your cardiologist: You have heart valve disease.
It’s never easy getting news like this, especially because of the impact it could have on your life.
It’s understandable that you are scared and worried about how it will impact your physical health. But you also need to consider the financial impact – something that can cause significant worry and stress.
Thankfully there are many resources out there that can help you with the costs of medicine, co-pays, deductibles, surgery, travel, and more. And now you can search for them all in one place. And even better, create a plan that’s customized to your own personalized needs. It’s the new Financial and Care Support Navigator available at the Alliance’s Living with Valve Disease website.
Here’s how it works:
The navigator asks you a short series of questions based on your needs and then offers a personalized list of resources broken down into specific topics. For instance, it could suggest resources to consult on health insurance or suggestions on getting access to prescription medications.
This tool is completely anonymous, and the questions are designed only to give you access to resources that are best for you. However, should you prefer not to answer the questions, you can also go directly to a full list of all of the available resources.
The navigator is but one of the many free resources you’ll find at the Living with Valve Disease website. Please take the time to visit the site and explore all it has to offer.
