1983 Pichon Lalande. Current Retail: 225.00 "A stunning wine, Pichon-Lalande's 1983 has been gorgeous to drink for a number of years. It is one of the finest 1983s, especially for a northern Medoc... The knock-out nose of roasted herbs, sweet, jammy black currants, and pain grille is followed by a full-bodied, gorgeously concentrated and well-proportioned wine with low acidity, plenty of glycerin, and a savory, highly extracted, fleshy mouthful. This has always been one of the stars of the vintage..." 94 pts. R. Parker

1995 Lafite Rothschild. Current Retail: 425.00 "As terrific as usual, this '95 Lafite could very well equal the producer's majestic 1959 for its pure tobacco, cedar and wild fruit on the nose and palate, full body, massive velvet-like tannins and extended finish." 97 pts. Wine Spectator

2002 Vineyard 7 Reserve Cabernet, Spring Mountain. Current Retail: 90.00 "Complex, and evolving, integrated oak and fruit. Beautifully complex, integrated wine. Harmonious now but has structure to last. Long finish." Decanter Magazine, Highly Recommended

1991 Silver Oak, Napa Cabernet. Current Retail: 195.00 "…The compelling 1991 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley exhibits more classic cassis notes without the subtle herbaceous ness of the Alexander Valley wine. It is a multi-layered, fabulously rich, intense wine with full body, a velvety texture, and oodles of fruit, glycerin, and soft tannin in the finish..." 95 pts. R. Parker

1998 Leonetti, Columbia Valley, Merlot. Current Retail: $125.00 "…This expansive, rich lively Merlot is unquestionably great stuff! There are no hard edges in its sultry character or exceptionally long, fruit-filled finish." 94 pts. R. Parker

2000 Behrens & Hitchcock Ode to Picasso. Current Retail: 95.00 "The 2000 Ode to Picasso (a 375-case blend of 53% Cabernet Sauvignon, 27% Merlot, and 20% Syrah) is a blockbuster, exotic, hedonistic turn-on offering glorious levels of fruit, glycerin, and explosive aromatics." 94 pts. R. Parker

2004 Two Hands Shiraz, Ares, Barossa. Current Retail: 175.00 "Two hands… have been flirting with true greatness with previous vintages of this wine. The 2004 achieves it. Rich and generous with its silky tannins and expressive black cherry, black berry, huckleberry and meaty spice notes flitting through the long, round, oak-scented finish. This has great vibrancy and detail, the finish lingering for days." 97 pts. R. Parker

1999 Siro Pacenti Brunello di Montalcino. Current Retail: $125.00 "Beautiful spice, berry, plum and raspberry character with hints of spices. Full-bodied, with well-integrated tannins and a long, long finish. This is always one of the greatest producers of Brunello and 1999 is no different." 96 pts. Wine Spectator

1998 Robert Arnoux Clos de Vougeot, Burgundy. Current Retail: $125.00 "The 1998 Clos de Vougeot has floral and raspberry/cherry fruit scents. Medium-bodied and satin-textured, it is a well-made, expressive, and concentrated wine." 91 pts. R Parker

1999 Marcassin, Marcassin Vineyard Pinot Noir. Current Retail: $450.00 ""The 1999 Pinot Noir Marcassin Vineyard …exhibits more animal, plum, raspberry, and earthy characteristics (meaty porchinis come to mind) in its broodingly backward, mineral-dominated personality. Additionally, there is great structure and purity, as well as layers of fruit and intensity." 95 pts. R. Parker

2003 Vineyard 8 Reserve, Chardonnay, Spring Mountain. Current Retail: $50.00 "This is a wine to age, or at least to decant. Opened young it shows a hard steely character, even a tannic toughness that only hints at what's to come. But older examples prove its ageability. This is a Grand Cru Chablis-style Chardonnay of enormous depth and vast potential." 93 pts. Wine Enhtusiast

2004 Didier Dagueneau Pouilly Sume Silex. Current Retail: $95.00 "Cuts like a knife, with live-wire Key lime, grapefruit, chalk and sea salt notes. Rich and powerful, but very nervy through the long, mouthwatering, collar-grabbing finish. Almost severe now in its minerality, but just wait." 96 pts. Wine Spectator

1996 Vincent Girardin Chassagne Montrachet Le Caillerets, Burgundy. Current Retail: 65.00 "Aromatically, the Chassagne-Montrachet, Les Caillerets displays fabulous ripeness, liquid stones and anise. On the palate this complex and deep wine has layers of sweet and delicious minerals, buttery pears, and a touch of honey. Medium-to-full-bodied, refined and powerful, this beauty's extraordinary focus and concentration may, in time, make my score appear stingy." 92 pts. R. Parker

1990 Ch. Yquem, Sauternes. Current Retail: 595.00 "1990: An extraordinary effort, Yquem's 1990 is a rich and fabulously superb, sweet wine. This wine also possesses lots of elegance and finesse. The wine's medium gold color is accompanied by an exceptionally sweet nose of honeyed tropical fruits, peaches, coconut, and apricots. High quality, subtle toasty oak is well-integrated. The wine is massive on the palate, with layers of intensely ripe botrytis-tinged, exceptionally sweet fruit. Surprisingly well-integrated acidity, and a seamless, full-bodied power and richness have created a wine of remarkable harmony and purity. Certainly it is one of the richest Yquems I have ever tasted, with 50-100 years of potential longevity. An awesome Yquem." 99 pts. R. Parker1977 Taylor Port. Current retail: 275.00 "The 1977 has consistently been at the top of my list of vintage ports… It is a mammoth, opaque, statuesque vintage port of remarkable depth and power…" 96 pts. R. Parker
