Access to Medical Imaging CoalitionThe Access to Medical Imaging Coalition was organized in early 2006, soon after Congress passed the Deficit Reduction Act of 2005, which significantly reduced the level of funding for medical imaging services provided in independent imaging facilities and physician offices. The coalition conducts public affairs, advocacy, and educational activities on behalf of legislation to address these payment reductions. |
Acetaminophen Awareness CoalitionThe Acetaminophen Awareness Coalition is a diverse group of leading health, healthcare provider and consumer organizations whose members are committed to ensuring that acetaminophen is used only as directed or labeled. The Acetaminophen Awareness Coalition launched the Know Your Dose campaign to educate consumers on how to safely use medicines containing acetaminophen, and to help change behaviors that could lead to an unintentional acetaminophen overdose. Through outreach to healthcare providers, patients, and consumers, the Coalition works to ensure that acetaminophen is used only as directed or labeled. The American Academy of Pediatrics, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and U.S. Food and Drug Administration serve as advisors to the Coalition. |
![]() ACT-AD CoalitionACT-AD is a broad-based coalition of more than 50 national organizations seeking to accelerate the development of a cure and treatments for Alzheimer’s disease. The coalition is dedicated to increasing public and government recognition of Alzheimer’s as a life-threatening disease that requires urgent attention. The coalition was launched at a press conference at the National Press Club in April 2006, and is chaired by Daniel Perry, President & CEO of the Alliance for Aging Research. The coalition is growing and gaining momentum and provides information, updates, and engagement opportunities through its web site, www.act-ad.org. |
Alliance for a Stronger FDAThe FDA Alliance was created to provide education and advocacy to inrease the appropriated resources available to FDA. It is a coalition of patient and consumer groups; health professional organizations; trade associations; food, drug, medical device and biotechnology companies; and consultants and individuals. |
Alliance for Regenerative MedicineFormed in 2009, the coalition is comprised of universities, life sciences companies, health care investors, and patient advocates with the common goal of advancing cell-based therapies. The Alliance is dedicated to promoting regulatory, research, and reimbursement policies that foster innovation in regenerative medicine. Additionally, the Alliance serves as a source of information about regenerative medicine for policy makers, the media, and the general public. |

Coalition Against Major DiseasesThe Coalition Against Major Diseases' (CAMD) focus is to develop new tools and methods that can be applied during the development of new treatments for these diseases that have remained beyond the reach of drug discovery and continue to result in added costs for treatment, chronic suffering, and the loss of lives. CAMD fosters innovative testing methods that lead to increased efficiency, safety, and speed in developing new therapies, through facilitating collaboration among scientists from the biopharmaceutical industry, academic institutions, government agencies, patient groups, and other key stakeholders. |

CIBR members recognize the enormous potential to further revolutionize patient care and biomedical research through the development of new technologies by the National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering, other NIH Institutes, and throughout the federal research community. CIBR members will advocate for research that can bring the technology of tomorrow to the health care needs of today. |

Friends of VA Medical Care and Health Research (FOVA)Friends of VA Medical Care and Health Research (FOVA) is a diverse coalition of more than 75 national academic, medical and scientific societies, voluntary health and patient advocacy associations and industry that advocate appropriate funding for the health programs that serve the nation’s veterans. Among its many activities, FOVA members regularly brief members of Congress on the funding needs of health care and research at the Department of Veterans (VA), raise awareness of VA’s medical care and research programs, and host special events that highlight VA research successes. |
