NIH Geroscience Interest Group (GSIG) Summit

The summit will bring together scientific experts in the fields of aging biology and chronic disease from NIH Institutes and Centers, as well as leading academic institutions, to examine how aging itself contributes to disease and how advanced knowledge and successful translation of research has the potential to delay the main processes of aging and subsequently the onset of chronic diseases common in older individuals.

NIH Accepts Public Comments on Draft Stem Cell Guidelines

In response to President Obama’s March 9th Executive Order lifting the Bush Administration’s restrictions on stem cell research, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) has issued draft guidelines on the federal funding of this research. The public comment period for the draft is open through May 26th so there’s still time to have your voice heard!
