The Alliance for Aging Research held a Congressional Briefing on Capitol Hill that addressed the impact of poor oral care on the vulnerable elderly. Experts in the field of aging and geriatric oral care discussed the importance of oral health care in ensuring the overall well-being of older Americans and explored what could be done to improve delivery and access to care.

This briefing is the final in a three-part “Diseases in the Shadows III” series focusing on dangerous, yet elusive health conditions that afflict millions of older Americans.

Speakers include:

Mr. Daniel Perry
Executive Director
Alliance for Aging Research

Dr. Barbara Smith

American Dental Association
NIH-funded Researcher

This briefing was co-sponsored by the American Dental Association. This series is made possible by a grant from the Retirement Research Foundation.
