The National Institute on Aging (NIA) of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), leads the national scientific effort to promote the health and well-being of older adults. Please join the Friends of the National Institute on Aging (FoNIA) to hear about the latest groundbreaking research at the NIA, including a discussion on recent recommendations from the Alzheimer’s Disease Research Summit 2015. Learn about the NIA’s current funding situation and how increased investment in preventing, treating or curing diseases of aging is one of the most effective strategies in reducing national spending on healthcare.
