Pocket Film Gives Intro to Sepsis in Older Adults

Every year more than one million Americans develop sepsis—a life-threatening medical condition that arises when the body initiates a powerful immune response against an infection. It’s even more dangerous for older adults; two-thirds of all cases occur in people over the age of 65. It’s the 10th leading cause of death in the U.S.

We realize how dangerous this condition can be. That’s why the Alliance offers a short “pocket film” on how to recognize the signs of sepsis and how you can take action. You can watch it below. And also be sure to share it by using the social media buttons at the bottom of this page.
