The Healthspan Imperative Kickoff

July 31, 2014   |   Alliance for Aging Research Team   |   Healthy Aging, Healthspan Campaign

The big screen premiere of The Healthspan Imperative, the new short film from the Healthspan Campaign, had everything you’d want in an opening night: movie stars, popcorn and an excited, engaged crowd. All that was missing was the red carpet.

We debuted this important film at the Landmark Theatres E Street Cinema on July 29 prior to its launch online. The Healthspan Imperative looks at our country’s next great priority: solving the challenges brought about by the aging of the American population. Narrated by Emmy Award-winning television show host and bestselling author Martha Stewart, it features exclusive interviews from leading scientists and aging research experts.

We were pleased to welcome three of the film’s “stars” to the premiere: S. Jay Olshansky, Felipe Sierra and our own Dan Perry. Following the debut, they shared their thoughts on the film and, along with Alliance president and CEO Sue Peschin, addressed questions from the audience.

Thanks to everyone who came for our premiere! We were energized by the discussions that followed the screening and the feedback we received on the film. If you weren’t able to join us, the film is now available online. So we encourage you to watch it and share it.
