National Heart Valve Disease Awareness Day Featured on Voice of America

Alliance President and CEO Sue Peschin was recently featured on Voice of America’s news program “Africa 54.” She highlighted the importance of raising awareness for heart valve disease and the significance of the first-ever National Heart Valve Disease Awareness Day, which took place on February 22, 2017.

Voice of America’s Health Chat featured Dr. Emily Farkas, a Society of Thoracic Surgeons member, and American Heart Association Heart Valve Ambassadors Dennis and Ann Dobkowski. The guests spoke about heart valve disease and why awareness is so important.
