Project PAUSE Feedback on 2026 Physician Fee Schedule

Project PAUSE (Psychoactive Appropriate Use for Safety and Effectiveness), an ad hoc coalition of national patient and professional organizations collectively advocating on clinical regulatory and legislative issues in long-term care, sent a letter on September 12, 2025 to Dr. Mehmet Oz, Administrator of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, providing feedback on the 2026 Physician Fee Schedule proposed rule. The comments focus on the proposed expansion of the diabetes screening Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) measure.
