Earlier this week, the Alliance released a new white paper, “A Fair Trade: How Intellectual Property Policies Unlock Better Access to Care,” highlighting the critical role that strong IP protections play in improving patient access to lifesaving treatments.

The Alliance urges policymakers, patient advocates, and industry stakeholders to collaborate in protecting the integrity of IP laws in order to sustain the innovation pipeline and ensure continued progress in patient care.

Alliance Urges ACIP to Update
Vaccine Recommendations


This month, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) convened to review scientific data and consider vaccine recommendations.

As part of public comment, the Alliance delivered remarks to the group, urging updates to protect public health.

Alliance, Allies Call for Halt
to Budget and Staffing Cuts

"Fiscal efficiency must not come at the expense of patients, caregivers, or the research that offers hope for a cure."

This month, the Alliance joined forces with several other organizations in opposition to multiple budget cuts to key federal programs and services.

Severe cuts to staff and funding for federal agencies pose a serious threat to nutrition, health, and long-term care services for older adults and people with disabilities, especially those with Alzheimer’s and related diseases. The Alliance urges the reversal of these
reductions in force.
