National Heart Valve Disease Awareness Day Kickoff Event

February 22 was National Heart Valve Disease Awareness Day! This year, we celebrated at Inova Heart and Vascular Institute during an event to raise awareness about heart valve disease and celebrate the accomplishments of Inova’s Structural Heart Program. The event featured Dr. Christopher O’Connor, M.D., CEO of Inova Heart and Vascular Institute; Dr. Eric Sarin, M.D., Co-Director of Inova’s Structural Heart Program; Sue Peschin, MHS, President and CEO of the Alliance for Aging Research; Col. Arnald Gabriel, World War II veteran and heart valve patient; and Congresswoman Barbara Comstock (VA 10).
