On April 7, the Alliance’s Vice President of Public Policy Cynthia Bens will participate in a symposium titled “Frailty as a Baseline Stratification Parameter and Potential Therapeutic Target” at the 28th Annual EuroMeeting in Hamburg, Germany.
This session will look at the progress that has been made in drug development for and with older adults. It “will announce and discuss the brand new EMA Geriatric Working Party frailty definition selected for study baseline characteristics for clinical studies and propose how this will change the research landscape in geriatric studies in Europe and beyond.”
During the session, Bens will address areas of need and insufficient research in the frailty arena. She joins the following experts: Susan Morgan, Medicines & Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA), United Kingdom; Susanna Del Signore, M.D., Bluecompanion, United Kingdom; Antonio Cherubini, IRCCS-INRCA, Italy; and Francesca Cerreta, European Medicines Agency, European Union.
