The Alliance for Aging Research held a Congressional Briefing on Capitol Hill that addressed the occurrence and impact of delirium developed in a hospital setting on our aging population. Experts in the field of aging provided an overview of post-operative delirium and post-ICU delirium, discussed the toll they exact on older patients, and explored what could be done through policy to improve the lives of the many individuals who suffer from these conditions each day.
This briefing is the second in the three part “Diseases in the Shadows III” series focusing on dangerous, yet elusive health conditions that afflict millions of older Americans.
