Through programs like the Patient-Focused Drug Development Initiative and a push for better use of patient-reported outcomes, FDA is increasingly soliciting the views of patients and advocacy groups. How is FDA incorporating these viewpoints into its drug reviews, and have the initiatives been a success? What tweaks are likely to come as part of the next round of user fee negotiations?
