The Silver Book: Vision Loss Briefing

In partnership with the National Alliance for Eye and Vision Research, the Alliance for Aging Research will launch the second volume of The Silver Book: Chronic Disease and Medical Innovation in an Aging Nation, an almanac of 1,000s of facts and statistics on the burden of chronic disease, and the value of innovation in reducing that burden.

This volume will highlight the impact of vision loss on our aging population, highlighting the current and future technologies and innovations that are offering hope to those suffering from debilitating eye diseases.

Speakers will discuss the burden of vision loss in the United States, as well as the current landscape of vision research. The briefing, held during AMD (Age-Related Macular Degeneration) Awareness Week 2007, will be moderated by Daniel Perry, Executive Director of the Alliance for Aging Research, and James Jorkasky, Executive Director of the National Alliance for Eye and Vision Research (NAEVR).
