The Trans-NIH GeroScience Interest Group (GSIG) hosted its winter seminar on February 1 on the NIH campus. The seminar, titled “Bone Marrow Aging and the PTH Receptor: A Model of Integrative Physiology,” featured Dr. Cliff Rosen. Dr. Rosen is a senior scientist and the director of the Center for Clinical and Translational Research at the Maine Medical Center Research Institute.
Dr. Rosen’s current project, supported by the National Institutes of Health (NIH), centers around the origin and function of bone marrow fat cells, the impact of anabolic therapy for age-related osteoporosis on marrow adipose tissue, and phenotyping related to metabolic function in animal models.
