Alliance, 60 Partner Organizations Appeal to ACIP Ahead of December Meeting

Today, the Alliance for Aging Research sent a sign-on letter to the CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) which meets today and Friday, December 4-5.

The letter, led by the Alliance and signed by 60 partner organizations, recommends that:

  • ACIP preserve clinician and parental choice by maintaining the universal birth dose and schedule for hepatitis B in both the standard and Vaccines for Children (VFC) program;
  • Defer to the broader scientific community regarding the safety of vaccine adjuvants and other ingredients, and to refrain from recommendation votes on these topics.
