Alliance Announces James E. Eden as Chair of Its Board of Directors

Washington, D.C., January 19, 2016 – The nonprofit Alliance for Aging Research announces the appointment of James E. Eden, Ed.D., as chair of its Board of Directors.

A member of the Alliance’s Board of Directors since 1989, Eden has an extensive background in the development and operations of long-term care facilities and the introduction of innovative services for the growing older population. He founded the Eden Group, LLC, in 1994. Eden succeeds Allan Fox of FOXKISER as Alliance board chair. Eden previously served as chair from 2006-2008.

The Alliance also announces James G. Scott as the new vice chair of its Board of Directors. Scott has been a member of the Washington, D.C., health policy community for 18 years and currently serves as president and CEO of Applied Policy. He has been a member of the Alliance’s Board of Directors since 2011.

“We are delighted to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Alliance with the news that both Jim Eden and Jim Scott will be leading the board,” says Alliance President and CEO Susan Peschin, MHS. “Jim Eden brings a wealth of expertise in board governance, and as chair he will play a vital part in the continued growth of our organization. Jim Scott’s respected accomplishments in health policy will serve us well as he takes on the role of vice chair.”
