The Alliance for Aging Research and the Patient Access Network (PAN) Foundation submitted comments to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) on the proposed standard notices that beneficiaries will receive from prescription drug plans regarding the Medicare Prescription Payment Plan (MP3). The MP3 will allow Medicare beneficiaries to spread out the expense of out-of-pocket costs for prescription drugs over the course of a year through the use of zero-interest payment installments.

In the comment letter, the Alliance and PAN Foundation provide direct feedback on the proposed notices to improve clarity, provide additional information on how beneficiaries may benefit from the MP3, and notify beneficiaries about program protections to ensure participants remain in good standing and can continue to use the program.
