Citizen Petition: BLAs for FDA-Approved Vaccines Endanger Lives, Illegal

Today, the Alliance for Aging Research submitted public comments in response to the Children’s Health Defense’s Citizen Petition that called for the revocation of Biologics License Applications (BLAs) for the FDA-approved COVID-19 Vaccines.

The Alliance opposes the petition and believes that:

• Moderna and Pfizer satisfied the Institutional Review Board (IRB), Investigational New Drug (IND), and clinical trial requirements;
• Vaccines that are initially distributed under an Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) can later satisfy the requirements of a BLA; and
• The manufacturers did not take steps that would negate their licensures.
