Study Examines Prevalence of Sarcopenia among German Women Ages 70+

A study published in Clinical Interventions in Aging explores the prevalence of sarcopenia among “community-dwelling” German women ages 70 and older living in Northern Bavaria. The study finds that while the prevalence of sarcopenia is relatively low, those with osteoarthritis in the hip and lower limbs were at increased risk for the disease.
