The Alliance Submits Comments to the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality

The Alliance submitted a comment letter on May 24, 2022 to the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) Request for Information on their Proposed Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Trust Fund Strategic Framework.
The Alliance’s response centered on emphasizing the need to address aging directly within the framework, including language in the framework that reinforces a commitment to PCORI’s authorizing statute regarding the prohibition on QALYs and a need for evidence-based value assessments, the importance of researcher buy-in, and the challenges and importance of research dissemination and collaboration.
