Non-Diabetes Organizations to CMS:
Do Not Restrict Beneficiary Access

Last week, 28 non-diabetes advocacy organizations urged the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) not to restrict beneficiary access to FDA-approved devices for the self-management of Type 1 and insulin-dependent Type 2 diabetes.

In a letter to CMS, the organizations voiced their opposition to utilization management for Part B items that have been determined efficacious and safe by the FDA.
