Webinar: If You Build It, Will They Come? Strategies for Alzheimer’s Disease Clinical Trial Recruitment

The Accelerate Cure/Treatments for Alzheimer’s Disease (ACT-AD) Coalition held an educational webinar on March 13, 2019 on clinical trial recruitment issues in Alzheimer’s disease. We were joined by representatives from the National Institute on Aging (NIA) for a discussion on how it has been working to expand and diversify participation in Alzheimer’s and related dementia clinical trials. The webinar also featured some of the coalition’s industry partners to discuss the challenges of patient recruitment, strategies for overcoming those challenges, and possible ways industry and the NIA could collaborate to overcome recruitment and retention issues for Alzheimer’s disease studies.
