The Alliance for Aging Research is grateful to Representative Joyce Beatty (D-OH) for recognizing the great importance of heart valve disease awareness through her resolution (H. Res. 874) for the annual Heart Valve Disease Awareness Day. Survey data shows 3 out of 4 people know little to nothing about heart valve disease and Rep. Beatty’s work to combat this lack of awareness will make important strides towards educating patients about the prevention, detection, and treatment of heart valve disease.
