Growing out-of-pocket costs in Medicare Part D are a heavy burden for many older Americans. There is no limit to what patients must pay in the program and some patients receive bills for a single prescription drug fill in the thousands of dollars.
Alliance for Aging Research Thanks House Democrats for Seeking Bipartisan Approach to Drug Pricing Reform

WASHINGTON, May 21, 2021 –Today the Alliance for Aging Research sent a letter to Democratic members in the U.S. House of Representatives that have advocated for a bipartisan, bicameral approach to addressing prescription drug costs. In the letter, the Alliance encouraged Representatives to address patients’ ability to afford their prescribed medications, while also continuing to support policies that advance equity and foster research into cures for the most challenging diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease.
