The Alliance for Aging Research is looking for three individuals who will work the registration table at the 2024 Heroes in Health Celebration on Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at the Waldorf Astoria in Washington, DC.
Duties will include:
- Managing the registration table, under the oversight of an Alliance staff member, and checking in guests.
- Providing name tags to guests as well as special cards noting dietary restrictions, when applicable.
- Answering general questions about the event and providing exceptional customer service.
Obligations/Expectations:
- If hired, you will be expected to be professional and respectful to all guests and staff throughout your service.
- A mandatory 1-hour training will be held via Zoom prior to the day of the event (training date TBD).
- On the day of the event (September 24):
- Expected arrival time at the Waldorf Astoria will be 2:00 PM. Set up will occur from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, and registration will be open from 3:00 PM through 7:00 PM.
- AAR will provide water and light refreshments during working hours, however food is not to be consumed in front of guests while working at the registration table.
- Dress code is business attire (ex. Dress shirt and pants; Suit jacket is optional).
The Alliance will provide compensation at the rate of $20/hour, for a total of 5 hours ($100 each). Compensation will include the cost of one vehicle/worker parked via valet at the Waldorf Astoria garage (value $46).
