Scott Simon, 2015
Scott Simon, an award-winning journalist with National Public Radio, gave a moving talk at the Alliance’s 22nd Annual Bipartisan Congressional Awards Dinner in Washington, D.C. He was the Alliance’s Indispensable Person of the Year in recognition of his 2015 book Unforgettable: A Son, a Mother, and the Lessons of a Lifetime, which poignantly captures his experiences with his mother during her last days. Simon shared some of his memories of his mother and urged all of us to value the life experiences older adults can offer us.
